Global Quality Traceability System
Global Quality Traceability System is a value delivery system co-built and applied by government departments, enterprises and consumers. Through collecting complete chain product quality information covering production, trade and circulation, the system achieves product quality traceability and rapid port clearance and inspection. With the minimal cost, the system leads to real delivery of commodity value and trade facilitation. The system, under the guidance of the GAQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), is established by Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone and Guangzhou Nansha District. Highly recognized, the system draws the active participation of domestic and foreign government departments, enterprises and consumers.
Global Quality Traceability System one platform (Intelligent Public Service Platform of GDCIQ) and three sub-systems on the platform (domestic traceability system, overseas traceability system, and traceability coding system).
Once joining Global Quality Traceability System, enterprises can benefit from the “comprehensive risk control and one-code inspection” trade facilitation in managed by Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, immediately after the collection of information about imported/exported goods and confirmation of relevant legal responsibilities. It further improves the speed of inspection, and reduces inspection and logistics costs.
Government departments, consumers and enterprises of all countries can use Intelligent Public Service Platform of GDCIQ or “CIQ traceability” APP on mobile phones to inquire about product information. Meanwhile, they can consult, deliver reports or file complaints to relevant inspection and quarantine departments, jointly creating a trustworthy, convenient and accountable trade environment.
Traceability of imported and exported goods, and Global Parcel Traceability are covered. The quality traceability of imported and exported goods is divided into factory-level traceability, trader-level traceability and port-level traceability. Factory-level traceability is started by brands or producers toward the source of the commodities, trader-level traceability by traders in the process of trade circulation, and port-level traceability by traders in entry-exit inspection & quarantine bureaus according to the regulatory feedback.
